Title: Circuit diagram for 4 engined MTB

What motors and what batteries do you hope to use?
I have a Kingston moulding fairmile D
With 4 Eco 600's driven by 9.6 volt Nimh's and 35 mm props 3 blade brass.
The action speed controller only copes with 2 of these motors as the current draw is high.

Dave Milburn put me on to a design he did for a Fairmile D for a guy called Mike Harris a year or two ago before he retired. Boat uses same props with geared motors. The hull for mine is based round the Deans kit. :-)

I have to say that I find this post VERY INTERESTING AND CONFUSING. I don`t think I have ever seen a 4 engine MTB. To me that means 4 engine direct drive to 4 propellers?

I have seen 3 engine to 3 propellers lots of times. I have to say I am confused. Can anyone clear this up?

Also to the circuit design person, can you create a circuit that deals with 3 engines with 3 propellers; WWII U.S PT Boat, British Vosper, German Schnellboat?

Fairmile D MTB's had four propeller shafts I believe.

Post by: John W E on October 21, 2016, 07:59:30 am: Hi, if you really want to split hairs and be pedantic some of the British MTBs had 5 engines - two American V8s used for cruising and silent running, along with the 3 main engines, used for when you got up and WENT after your target ;D

Going to have to do a quick amendment here - had to get me little Bible out :-)) - to do some checking - and, it was the Thorneycroft boats which had 4 R.Y.12 Thorneycroft engines 650 h.p each, on 2 shafts Auxillary engines were two Ford V8s. The other V8s, on the other MTBs tended to be for electrical supply and not for silent running.

There are a series of boats which were fitted with 3 Isotta-Fraschini, 1,200 hp engines each centre engine geared, wings direct drive. Certain boats were fitted with Ford V8 cruising engines on the wing shafts.

KD Perkasa had five engines; three Proteus gas turbines and two General Motors diesels on the wing shafts, for cruising.

Reynolds. Puts the flesh on the bones of what these guys had to endure.

First, thank You for your posting the 3 motor control. I see the picture BUT I can`t see clear enough there is one servo, an esc, three motors and two switches.

Can you post a Larger picture of the setup? Also I don`t see any fuses to protect the esc. Are there any?
