Hi all just a warning, don't believe it, my missus started using them about 6 months, today I've spent most of the afternoon up to my elbows in s@#$ unblocking our drains which were jammed packed with Flushable wipes, not a great experience, I will be smelling it for weeks and my arms and shoulders ache like hell. DO NOT BELIEVE FLUSHABLE WIPES ARE FLUSHABLE.

All Plumbers know this, and their Family.

My sea-toilet had a sign 'ONLY PUT INTO THIS TOILET THAT WHICH YOU HAVE EATEN FIRST'
= AND I MEANT IT! O0

Even if they do flush beyond your boundary, they can cause havoc downstream. They are a major contributor to the 'fatburgs' that get in the news.

I think Kpnuts must be flushed with success after all that work. :-)) :-)) :-))
-
Yes, must have been round the bend with frustration, but it all panned out in the end. ;)

mate of mine had that problem on his boa.t, they burned out the macerator pump motor

Some years ago, our 'nextdoor neighbour but one's' daughter/wife must have been using them by the bucket load. It blocked their drains and then backed up sewage all the way up the close. That was an interesting call out for the Dyno-Rod guy. Start at one house and work your way down until you find the culprit!

full review on tonight's one show about this big problem ,also a court case in usa to get the word flushable removed from the packaging .This problem is not going away .

WE often had to burn them out with Sulphuric acid which added sulphurous fumes to the smell which made it worse. Worst invention ever

Oh dear this is just not going away 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍

A few years ago a neighbour approached me and asked if I would add a sink grate to the rear access tenfoot because it flooded each time it rained- he wold provide materials if I did the labouring, so I agreed.
A week later the neighbour on the other side came banging at my door to complain in heated words that the work I had done had blocked his drains and they were overflowing in his house.
How red faced was he when I explained I hadn't touched the main sewer pipe, in fact all I had done was to dig a 6ft x 6ft pit and backfilled with gravel and a drain top concreted into place as a soakaway. Turns out his wife had been flushing cat litter down the toilet for months and it co-incided with the work I had done. His daughter later told me it cost him £500 to get Dyno rod in to clear the 'plug' of cat litter, of course he wasn't man enough to apologise but avoided me for weeks - until I sprayed his car with coloured fence preservative which is another story :D

Got first hand experience on this. Next door neighbour has been blocked for nearly a month now.
Contractors keep coming back unblocking the drains and still can't resolve the problem. Best bit is their drains link into our's - what a stink and its not of our making !!!.
Evey time they unblock it the wipes that are coming out are unbelievable and everyone around says "it's not me !!!!"
Local water board now involved - at least our drains are been jet washed almost on a daily basis now for free !!!! :-))

Any small kids in the offing by any chance They love flushing things. If they have seen an adult do it they think it's ok to follow suit

That is a plumbers worse nightmare, a drain full of Acid or drain cleaner. That's when you have to start breaking out the protective gear and thinking about hazard pay. Worse I had wasn't flushables but pantyhose. They kept showing up in the drains of a major oil company's men's executive washroom.
Regards,
Gerald.

The 'pro' who was interviewed on the radio about this put it quite succinctly (you can make a very bad pun out of that if you work hard enough...):
"There's only three things you should flush and they all start with P......pee, pooh and paper".
He missed the obvious 4th 'P'... but maybe he's teetotal (and no, it's not pantyhose).

George Formby had one without the P :D
