I had a thread removed because I said Bah Humbug to someone wishing us all happy Halloween.Be careful guys.
There are 12 days of Christmas and four days of Easter. Let's keep it at that.

Christmas starts Nov 6! ok2

We were watching TV earlier this week and saw an advert telling us that M&S's Christmas advert would begin its festive run from tonight...
"Now they advertise advertisements, already? Oy veh!"
They'll probably be the only things made especially for Christmas TV which doesn't involve ballroom dancing, baking/cooking or a rehash of some old drama from earlier in the year. I'm with Scrooge (and Jim and Klunk) on this one......oh, and I become an OAP officially even before the real festivities really kick off.
Yippee.
Whoop-de-do.
Roll on Jan 2nd.

Ever since my my kids stopped being children and became teenagers- -and all 4 of them could see that except for the devout, the whole thing had just become a huge retail binge - - -that time of year in our house has always been known as Happy Humbug! and homemade Humbug cards are exchanged. The whole family loves Terry Pratchett's ''HogFather''.
-
Dave, I`ve had my free TV licence for 20 years yesterday, but good to see you are still grumpy. Pete

Stone me! You don't look a day over 70. A belated Harry Bert-Dave!
I'll be pleased to be grumpy at that age, but my family may not be so enthusiastic about it.
Bah humbug the lot of 'em.

Dave, I got it wrong, again. Just an old looking 85, but not really with dementia. Pete

Mate at 85 you automatically become a wise sage O0 O0 O0

Is it too late to resurrect the "Grumpy Old Git In A Shed" club? Never had a proper shed, apart from a BL Ambassador.
-
That reminds me of a chap we called `Two Sheds` cos if you had one shed, you can bet your life he had two.
