Hello Kevin, are you specifically interested in SEL motors?  I do have the 1260 and a pristine 1261 in its box.

Hi kevin, they were advertised in the Meccano magazine of those times. It might be worth looking at some of the Meccano forums and dealers. Good luck, there aren't many of us who love old motors.

They definitely exist as this one went on eBay a few days ago - SEL 1267 Electric Motor (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-SEL-1267-Electric-Motor-Ideal-For-Model-Boats-/382055058435?hash=item58f4418c03%3Ag%3AqIAAAOSwIWVY%7EQcQ&nma=true&si=psG9vD%252Falwmbkg3fw3vlrzR3ocQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)

Not sure how long it'll be before another comes along though...
