Hello
Would anyone know what brushless motor to put in an Apache offshore V hull around 52 inches long with a surface piercing prop for the best performance please?
Regards

Two ways you can go with a big boat,a friend built one of my 58" Apaches with a twin setup using  600 size outrunners on 6s per motor and t 180 escs, she runs around 50 mph for 7-8 mins  thats one battery per motor, you could use two and get more runtime.Youd be looking at £400 to buy all the gear for this setup roughly .

Second option is a BIG motor like the one im using SSS 5694 inrunner on 10 s using a high quality 240 amp swordfish pro esc.Your boats a tad smaller so a slightly smaller motor would work or you could run the same one on 6 -8 s with good results .This setup would be a little more expensive .

The one i have is 1000 kv.

This boat in the video is 51" using the same motor on 6s .On 9- 10 s its too much for it he told me but on 6 or even 8 s its pretty good .
