To all mayhemers out there were ever your are I would like to wish you all the very best for 2017.We at Kirklees MBC are looking forward to a very busy year again hope to see old friends and new ones at club events and shows.Must go now my beer awaits speak you all in 2017.

I'll echo those sentiments! My very best wishes for a happy and peaceful 2017, with plenty of building sailing of models! :-))
I normally watch the London fireworks on TV but this year a near neighbour put on a 10 minute aerial display that was superb, it must have cost him a packet - but viewed for free from inside my back door! And as soon as the London display was done, his next door neighbour followed suit with another 5 brilliant minutes' worth. Made mine pale into insignificance! My daughter had come over earlier with her partner and the grandchildren for a fireworks party. They had a great time - I'm sure they never eat when they're at home! My granddaughter was well wrapped up against the cold, with coat, gloves and a woolly hat with fluffy bobbles hanging from it. "I like your hat, it's got nice bobbles on it", I said, bopping her nose with one of them. And with the lovely innocence of a 3 year old, she replied at the top of her voice "Balls, Grandad!" I was taken aback. "Pardon?" "Balls, Grandad." she exclaimed."They're not bobbles, they're balls! And with my third Chivas Regal of the night, I'll say goodnight while I can still type! :}

Happy New Year to all those afflicted, burdened, even cursed with the urge to build and construct model boats. It never seems to go away, the brain is never in idle mode, the eye ever looking out for items 'that might come in useful'. I wish all of those blessed with the above another constructive year.
