Earlier this month, it emerged that a woman had come forward after realising £7m of her gold was missing nearly two years after the heist at Hatton Garden Safe Deposit in London.
Seriously !!!!! :police: :police: :police:
You did not notice 7Million of Gold missing !!!!
Just trying to think if I had a box there or not as I have misplaced 10million :}

I'm happy if I find 10 bob down the back of the sofa! O0 O0 O0

More likely a insurance fraud on her part.
But I can't get over the fact the law now has 2,3 or more bites of the cherry. You are guilty and get sentenced to 10 years. Then they find you haven't knicked 4 million, it's 11 million cos of that woman's claim. They go back to court and get your sentence increased. For each new claim they can do this!
It smacks of retribution for being made to look fools rather than a payback to society. They now want the jail time increased to 27 years each.

I can only imagine that she is so minted that 7 million is her equivalent of a few bob down the sofa!
If she doesn't want it then I can find a few things to do with it.
Now I know that theft is theft, but this was against an institution that had obviously not done it's due dilligence on protection of assets properly, and paid the price. to hide their incompetence and embarrassment.
In a reasonable world, the insurers would have slapped the ownsers of said establisment around legally as well as the burgulars. The original sentence is fair especially as all insurers have probably made sure their 'clients' have checked their premises and made the 'reccomended' upgrades.
The deterrent will be the extra difficulty faced when trying to break in.
