Hi Jason and Norry, this is how i do the bridge, plus a picture of the tug i am trying to copy.
-
Would it not be easier to make the 'Glasshouse' from 1.5 mm. Perspex and mask the windows?
The protective layers on the Perspex can be used for masking.
That's what I did for my patrol boat
-
Hi tugnut,
Very impressive hulls, do you make the super structure out of cardboard 1st before cutting any wood?
Looking forward to seeing more of the build
quality build☺

One of your wheelhouses is very similar to this...

Hi Brianb6, i tried that and made a right mess of it so i went back to the wood.
Hi Spud yes i make all card bits first it saves on wood . O0 .

Send me a couple of full size copies and I'll post them for you
watersa@ntlworld.com :-))
-
Very impressed, think I would risk a divorce for one :-))
-
On the bench, they look like the real thing in scale and effect. Its only when on the water surrounded by 1:1 scale life that the impression stops.
Gorgeous craftsman ship. The wheelhouse is especially good inside and out with special attention to current technologies in control systems :-))
-
This picture has just made me realise I can AVOID all that dreaded masking around bulwark ribs :-))
phew 8)
