Ah, the great man himself. Thanks for those Martin, many of them I have not seen. Bob has taught me so much and rekindled my interest. I am now on my fourth miniature since last October. Great fun it I should too.

Aha , dear old SHIPBUILDER. Reminds me , I have got a CD of his :-  Miniature Sailing Ship Construction- The Norwegian Barque "Svaerdstad " trouble is I do not have a CD drive on my current system so can't play it ,  perhaps I must see if my old windows system will fire up.

Thanks for comments.    I am still here with a build log for the Blue Star cargo liner Imperial Star in the "Working ships" section.    When I posted the above images, it was my first digital camera, and the images were not veery good, but the images are a lot better now.
Baldrick - If you send me a PM with your e-mail address, I will send you a complimentary copy of the Svaerdstad practicum.     I didn't know they made computers without CD drives, I suppose it just has a hard drive and USB ports?

As said previously, beautiful models with such fine detailing.

I love them all, but I especially love the model of the Fleetwood trawler. Is this built to the same scale as the larger ships.

If so, the detailing is just unbelievable, and wonderful to see.

The Kingston Diamond model was a larger scale because it was a smaller vessel.   I think it was 20 feet to 1 inch.   Here it is in better resolution:
