Some friends of mine recently went on holiday to the North Pole and sent me a postcard.

very lucky friends you have as it is an expensive cruise. i hope to make a model of her sister artica one day if i could get hold of planes

Yes, very lucky friends. He is a very highly paid industrialist living in Canada. He and his wife love to travel and they always do it in style but I have never known them to have anything to do with boats before.
