I was on the verge of buying the above plan from the hobbies plan service F J Maclay molch and hecht when the penny dropped , the model shown appears to be a seehund , does anyone have any info on this, regards Pete

I have the set that came from Model Boat's plane service Ref:BM1392,
I will be more than likely be wrong but I think the Seahund was a bit bigger that the Moich and that the Moich was the first of the two.

Hi Fred, the black and white picture accompanying the description appears to show a seehund not the molch or hect type or am i wrong , regards Pete

Just had a look at my old no make that very old plans book and the boat shown doe's look like a seahund, I will try and have a look for my set of plans this weekend, but I seem to recall that the one on the plans has a different stern to the one in the book.

Morning Fred , thanks for that , F J Maclay does seem quite prolific in the sub department , i wondered if map mixed the pic

Had a look at the set of drawings that I have and no way do they look like the B/W photo in my plans book, if you Googal Molch Submarine that is the type one of the plans are fore.

Just looking through some of my boat mags came across model boats jan 1970 and an article on the charlie class sub by non other than f j macclay ,just need find any others he might done, regards pete
