Title: Trumpeter kits
Post by: canalpilot on March 31, 2017, 11:09:35 pm
Is it possible to install radio control in a 1-200 kit of the Trumpeters HMS Nelson or HMS Rodney. If so has anyone done it.

I believe that dean's Marine has ready to install kits to motorize these hulls and many of the other Trumpeter 1/200th kits.

Simple answer yes, has been done and posted on other Radio Control forums.

Saw somewhere that Trumpeter have produced one of their 1:200 scale ship kits complete with radio gear etc.

See here.................http://metrohobbies.com.au/trumpeter-1-200-uss-arizona-battleship-radio-control.html

Should be available in UK.

Although it is a big model at 11 pounds sailing trim weight, making carrying the required radio etc easy, the design does not make life easy for access to a working models interior while making it reasonably watertight around the deck.
