Title: Getting twin brushless motors to start together
Post by: sigfortunata on April 23, 2017, 10:50:47 pm
Hi

I've a twin motor set up in one of my boats.

2  outrunner motors/2 ESC's  connected by a Y lead to the receiver.  Planet T5 transmitter/receiver set up

My problem is that I can't get them to run smoothly start/stop together.  Either one starts before the other or one runs and one stutters but doesn't turn.

The only way I can get a semblance of control is by adjusting the gain? sensitivity? for the throttle axis on the transmitter backing it down until  one is on the point of just turning with no throttle input, however it continually needs to be tweaked which is a problem out on the lake.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,
its the same process for getting a  twin motor plane to sync. Plug in the motors, esc will not arm,  put tx throttle to max, turn on trx, esc's will beep, put stick to bottom, esc's bleep, centre stick. disconnect battery, turn off tx, and then start as normal, they should be synced together now
