:(( I am now at stage of the build making sure electrics are ok.i am using futaba rec with 8370 decoder.
the periscope unit works fine on decoder, but cant get the bow thruster to work via the decoder,i am using pole reverser r. u. m with a engel 4ch switch 8431,it works on a receiver ch but not on a decoder switch?,has anyone else had this problem?.
also the tmax unit uses chs 5 6 7 so can the decoder go on any other ch (using futaba f16 trans and 8 ch rec)
thanks alan b

I don't have my Robbe anymore but I think if you want to use the decoder you will need to buy a reversing relay switch that plug into the decoder which will then wire up to the bow thruster. The Robbe Part number is 8304.
I use a separate channel for the bow thruster and connect it up to its own ESC. You can also use a Y lead and connect the ESC to the rudder channel so the bow thruster will work automatically on rudder movement. The bow thruster has no effect when the sub is underway so wont affect the way it drives.

hi manxster.
I have the reversing relay, thats the prob it works ok on the receiver but not on the decoder, but I like your idea using the rudder ch via a y lead.
checked decoder seems to switch ok?works the periscopes.
thanks for reply.

If it works on a receiver then surely it works only on 8370 slots k7 and k8.
If not, what battery is hooked up to the decoder?

morning.
I have the receiver batt connected to decoder.is this correct?.
thanks alan :((

I suggest:-- get a servo working in the k7 or k8 slot
- take out the servo
- Plug the reversing relay doodah that works ok on receiver into the same slot.
