Title: Question on charging
Post by: overthesea on June 03, 2017, 12:26:21 AM
Hi everyone,
Can someone please help with this question?
I recently brought ten Tronic C size batteries and have made then into two packs of five cells. On the battery casing it says that they are 4000mAH to be charged for 7 hrs at 800mA
I have a Bulldog Airsoft charger that charges at 1.0A or2.0A.  Can I use this charger to charge the above packs? A simple yes or no will do.
Thank you.

Yes, as long as it is designed for Nimh/NiCd cells, which I assume your pack is?
1 amp for about five hours and 2 amps for about 2 1/2 hours, roughly, from flat.

If it is a smart charger, it probably senses when the battery being charged is fully charged.  If not, check the battery temperature.  When fully charged, it will start to heat up.
