Ive just acquired off fleabay a microcat, i got it cheap as it allegedly had a growl jet, also got a replacement rule pump with it. (cant tell if Mk1 or Mk2) upon splitting i seen its been opened before, by a 1 armed man with a boxing glove on. most of the joint trim points had been sliced out when it was done before, a split was also found under some black silicone in the center pontoon. again it was cheap enough to repair the cosmetic damage and i will seal the center pontoon off from the rest of the boat with foam or something before i close it.
Now the help i need, how i go about converting to 2.4Hz, and also i fitted a lucky f918 fishfinder (thishas a input between 10v and 20v) now the battery's are 6v ,so i cant direct wire it to them.
but somewhere in the boat they jigged the power as the motors are 12v
also the battery's are lead acid, why cant i fit nicked/lithe ion is there something i missed in translation :)

The type of battery does not matter. It's the voltage that is required.
If you convert to 2.4 and a decent speed controller then you will have a good set up. I would run it on 12 volts as this will supply all your needs.

How would i setup a speed controller to run the 4 sump pumps ?

You could use electronic switches where a push on the radio transmitter control arm to the left or the right will activate.
Further details can be obtained from the post below.

There is also the department dedicated to all electronic and technical stuff here ...

You will need an ACTion P94 speed controller as it is a dual one with a mixer inside it.....I have converted quite a few of these for carp Anglers There is a wiring Diagram on the ACTion website.
ALL ACTion gear is available through Component shop - http://www.componentshop.co.uk/

Slow project this :} had a busy year so never got to finish the boat off.i changed a pump (original fault)
I replaced the old 40mhz to a flysky 6ch 2.4ghz Tx/receiver set ,also all the microcat electronics so now has a P92,P94,P111 diode board. also thinking of going down the LIPO battery line so i got a P103 parallel power board so 1 battery doesnt overcharge its twin.Ive also fitted a lucky fishfinder/sonar :} whilst i still have it open.
now the muscle metal wire hopper release mechs work off power to generate heat to expand the metal wire, and original cable is a reasonable thick cable about 14awg, am i wrong in thinking plug/wires from an old servo to the receiver (if i went along that way) wont carry enough current to operate the release or am i just overthinking this. or is there an easier way.
and lastly i was thinking of putting a autopilot in this, i was looking at an toslon x-pilot but i cant find any info on whever it will run 4 sump pumps
maybe i will still be alive when i finish this. :-))
