I bought my DX6 brand new in January for sub £130 from SMC including receiver. Within a couple of weeks the price shot up to £165 ish and now it seems they've hit £200 plus. I think there have been distributor importer issues? still its simply profiteering >>:-(

Mine was £70 TX only from Anglia Model Centre 5 years ago so it looks like its onwards and upwards <*<

Not since January it has remained fairly constant
The pound dived after Brexit last June long before

DX6 which is overkill but the price was good then
I get 6 channel receivers for £20 as they're cheaper than 4 channel here

Just realised I bought the wrong one but they'll change my order for AR600 same price

Owch
Just had a look £196 <:(
-
Transmitter only seems cheapest at Cornwall models
£155
-
Futaba have a new 2.4 basic transmitter and receiver for the £80-00 mark.
No computerised set up, linear trims.
Thinking of ditching my spektrums for this.
Receivers a bit pricey but you can't have everything.

I just bought a faulty DX6 off eBay £60, I thought it would be good value for spares.
First thing I did was take it apart but nothing visual. Next I googled for Spektrum system faults and found a very nice post on resetting :}
:-)) Result fixed!!
It was the first firmware version 1 and I've successfully updated it to the latest just out this month version 1:20 8)
Screen protection has never been removed so it is like brand new

Hi guys and gals yes Nothing wrong with spectrum sets But wholesalers that did not sign up were taken off the ones who (owed money on there accounts) they kept?? presume trying to get paid so the importer has pulled out I believe ?? So going to get the Graupner MX-16 8 pick up Friday??

The case identifies them as DSM2 BUT the settings show them as DSM2 DSMX auto select so I have the best of both worlds and no air updates etc.
Initially one of them was not working correctly in that both sticks were cross talking. A system reset again came to the rescue :-)) .
Now obsolete but good as new with no scratches
Spec on Spektrum dot com only mentions DSM DSM2

The X to the right of the LCD window
shows it to be the crossover from Dsm2
to dsmx
Will work with both modes of RX.

On two occasions my TX has shut down without warning.
Today at Balne Moor was the second time. I had noted only minutes earlier that the battery was showing 7.2 and yet no warning just went dead.
I assumed this to be a low battery voltage issue.
THE PROBLEM IS THE OPPOSITE!!!!!
At home I have removed the battery and put a voltmeter across it to find it read over 20 volts >>:-( This is an intermittent problem but now the battery is bin fodder as it is unreliable. SO BE WARNED
EDIT just to prove the test meter is OK I tried it on my second Li battery and 7.3 volts plus a 4x AA rechargeables read 5.3 volts
