Not sure if this has been mentioned before ?
I don't get an email when a member sends a PM, Checked in profile and it all seems to be set correctly, email address is correct.
Not a big problem but...!
Don't want to change to another email address, been there before and broke the lot :embarrassed:

Many Forums have trouble with Hotmail and it seems Outlook email accounts..... {:-{

I know it's a pain in the posterior but in the long run, it's just easier to set up another email account on Gmail and use that for this kind of thing.
You can then use your Hotmail or Oulook Account to pick up your gmail emails for you! (Forwarding)

Yes i think you are right, its outlook thats the problem %)
Tried to create an account on Gmail...every combination of my name plus all sorts of numbers i tried was taken...dippydoo? nope...billynomates..taken {-)
I stay as i am for now, it'll only go pear shaped again.

Lost my Hotmail as it was discontinued and was switched to Outlook.com.Couldn't use the link in the Outlook to go to replies in the threads. Switched to BT and that worked Now with Talktalk and its working fine I keep Outlook ticking over just in case Hotmail comes back as I believe it was the best mail I've ever used.
I did bring this to Martin's attention sometime ago

Hi Seaspray, Yes same here, Outlook is a PITA for using with mayhem , bottom line it doesn't work! <*<
Gmail works as it should, I've has 2 mails through now, your reply and a PM.
Will be transferring all my contacts onto Gmail.

As I said sorted now with talktalk but I've to log on every time I use it, its a pain. I think Hotmail was the best

Does anyone know why Outlook blocks the messages from this type of forum?

I recon its microsoft dictating what we can and cant do on their software.. O0

Mr Gates may guilty of many things, however if his MS Outlook is blocking messages......check your PC's Outlook Rules %) ...............Derek

Well, if Mr Gates thinks i'm going to spend 6 months trawling through his rules and regs just to send and receive a few emails on a forum..he's on a loser {-)

This is not MS Outlook on the computer, this is outlook.com on-line.
I use Thunderbird to collect all the e-mail from the various on-line providers but even if you log-in directly online, the messages don't exist - so there's nothing for Thunderbird to collect - they're not in the junk folder or anything - they just get lost somewhere in internet-land.
