Does anybody know the correct colour of the liferings on a Severn?
-
Definitely more red than the rest of the boat.
They look moulded plastic to me so I'm guessing it's just a red plastic colour that only the manufacturer will know. You may end up having to find a near colour from a photograph and going with that.
I'm sure Kim or Alan will be along sometime to say what paint they have used though. :-))

Hi Craig
I have emailed a supplier of Perrybuoy hopefully I will
get an answer about the colour and the 2 different types.
Will update thread if I get a result.

Have a look in Halfords Fiat red/orange
-
On a working kept afloat Severn,
unless they are new, the colour
will fade from the UV rays of the
Sun.

I tried Fiat red orange not very good too red.
Did a search and found a site which gave me the colour name International Orange.
I did a bit more searching and came up with the British Standard for it, it's BS 381C 592.
Going to my local car paint shop to have a look at their colour chart as you can't tell on
a computer. Have a look yourself.
Will update soon.

I went to the paint shop compared the swatch with pictures on my tablet it looked good.
so I bought it. And I am happy with the result.
Tried to attach a picture when I reduced it to 300mb it distorted it.
