Title: radio gear brackets
Post by: grendel on July 16, 2017, 12:14:13 pm
As I have plenty of bulkheads in my model, I decided to install the radio and servo in their own 3d printed mounts

That's a very neat solution Grendel - effectively "made to measure" :-)

I did include a strap to stop it falling out, but its a good tight fit and didnt need it.

I was thinking that maybe they were snap fit. Even if not, a small lip on the inside edge of the bracket, just above the widest part of the case of the item to be held, would be a two minute mod.
I noticed that Sketchup now has a template for 3D printing. Which is cool.
