Title: On holiday.......
Post by: Klunk on August 05, 2017, 03:15:45 pm
Right. I'm on my first holiday abroad in Benidorm. Never done a package hol as I don't do family holidays. Normally they go away on their own and I decorate the house!!!!
So been here a few days now, and get on a boat to go to the island off the coast. Wife gets talking to some other woman she's just met. Next thing I'm introduced to the husband and I've now inherited 3 more boats from a couple who live 12 miles away from me!
Now of this happens at home I get told off!

Hi Klunk, now be very careful, try not to have a good time keep the Luton spirit up and remember they are all foreigners.
If god meant us to travel abroad we would all be able to speak 'foreign'.  I tried learning foreign for several years and it did not take, so I go to Australia now where they are all  .........

Thanks Klunk, look forward to finding them work, I suspect it might only be a zero hours contract though with much time spent in the dark in a box.
I am finishing a ferry at the moment I have lots of figures to go on the boat complete with some rather 'swishy' cars and they are all arguing over who has which car and some ae just refusing to be foot passengers.  When all the paint is dry, I shall be putting my foot down and say "this is 1937, suck it up!".  You are all going to come to a sticky end anyway.
Does anyone else have this trouble?

What scale is the ferry Roy?
I am looking to source passengers
and cars/vans for a CalMac ferry
at 1/75 scale I can get away with
1/72.

1/72 figures are easy. There are loads on eBay pre painted normally. Depends on era. If you want 1950 to early sixties look at old airfix civilians. Dapol do some railway workers which were old airfix (hat used to remold them as well). Some skinnier figures could be old subbuteo grandstand figures. Also look up plastic soldier review for 1/72 figures. They also have pics of most of the sets.

Hi NetleyN.. I am building GG's Ogdensburg N. American ferry, scale is 1 : 43 or 'O' gauge in model railways 7mm to the foot.
I would think that OO gauge figures at 1/76 would not be far off for you.  HO gauge comes out at 1/87 or 3.5 mm to the foot.
But 1:72 is also an Airfix scale for model aircraft etc.
