Title: Can anyone lend me a Stuart D10?
Post by: pendlesteam on August 29, 2017, 10:07:15 am
Hi - Nigel here from Pendle Steam. I would like to conduct a few precisely documented steam tests using a D10. Prices on the bay are very high for these (for what would amount to only a few minutes run time) and I simply dont have time to build one at the moment. I therefore would like to ask the members if anyone would be kind enough to lend me an engine? I will of course arrange insured postage etc? Fingers crossed

Nigel

Hi Nigel, you may want to post this in the General Topics section as well. If you were in the states, I would lend you a mildura or stuart marine twin. I don't feel so secure about sending one of them overseas...

by the way, nice boilers!  I'm flip flopping between buying one of yours or building one....

Hello!
What I wouldn't do for a Roy's friend??? :-)
Do you need with Stephenson or without?
If you promise me to oil it thoroughly & abundantly after each use, I can help you. :-))
Let's get in touch by mail.
Regards.

In case you didn't already find a D10 to borrow, I have one. Let me know.

Thank you to everyone who kindly offered to lend me a D10 for testing. I have completed my testing and no longer require an engine.
