Post by: Mustang on September 10, 2017, 05:18:42 pm
Hi. ..I am in the mind to purchase an apache 58 I would like to run 2 x 60 size outrunners
My question is.....can I use 3/16th flexi shaft or 1/4 inch?  My preferred motor has a 5mm

Hi Mustang

Use 1/4 inch more reliable with big motors.

Check out the fast electric forum in America for more info.

Which ever flex size you decide on, IMO these German MBP collets are the best. They are balanced and don't require a flat spot on the motor shaft. Hopefully you can find them locally instead of them flying over the pond twice :)
