Hoping to hit the lake this weekend to maiden my new Proboat Shockwave, but want to take the TT Avanti along for my Dad to use.
It needs a new prop though ideally because this one has a small chip out of it.
How do you measure a prop to get the correct size?
Having trawled on Google I can't find an answer to what size it comes with.
Their also seems to be a vast array of materials they're made from, is it best just to stick with whats on it, or could it benefit from changing from plastic to something else?

Can't seem to edit the original post.
So, from tip to tip, the prop is 40mm.
Where the shaft goes through is 12.5mm thick with a 4mm bore.
I can't find a single prop online with these measurements {-) typical luck!
The original part number is; TT5015, but again, I can't find stock and it doesn't give any indications as to what else will fit.
Any suggestions would be highly welcome!

quick google search found the thunder tiger part # available on ripmax.com
judging by what it is, i would GUESS that it is a 1.4x prop, ie the pitch is 1.4 times the diameter, which is common for fast electric boats. in that case any 4mm 40mm 1.4x fiber reinforced plastic prop will work, or for a little more speed, something with identical specs made of bronze would work. my problem is, being from the land mass i am from, all the sources i know of will be for a propeller with a 3/16" bore, not 4mm.

Yeah the part number is in my reply, I unfortunately couldn't edit the original post though, but thanks for that... I have kept looking but still haven't found the right one.
The 1.4 somehow doesn't look right to me visually, as that's what I found on eBay, but they are all for a bigger bore anyway.
Didn't know finding a prop would be so annoying {-)

Best to avoid ebay for anything not totally specific - their search will give all sorts of rubbish.
Looking at one of the other google hits then a bit of site navigating found - http://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/propellers_451.html - scrolling down the page found 40mm, M4 bore 2 blade racing props. No doubt others on the same site with a bit more navigating.

I only use brushless motors now and the best type for what I do is the 'Hydro' style prop....same diameters but bigger pitch. These are quite specific and I now only use www.gliders.uk They have thousands of suitable props in stock including all the standard sizes...give them a look.
Cheers Ron

Thanks for the replies chaps.
Will check some of those out, I did some more digging but couldn't find a matching one to what I have.
Anything suitable wasn't in stock lol, typical!
