Can anyone suggest where it would be possible to purchase a copy of the ships plans and profiles for Vigilant ?

I have been trying the Vigilant Trust but they are impervious to any advance or contact .

She was built by Cox & Co of Falmouth so maybe try the local university or museum , sadly unlikely to had had the plans sent to the maritime museum but that is another possibility or you could try the Customs and Border Force website they might have an archivist and still hold plans

I forget who, but some company made a beautiful kit of this some time ago, which I admired immensely but could never ever dream of affording as it was around £1500.00 to buy. http://www.modelboats.co.uk/news/article/hm-customs-cruiser-vigilant/570
just googled and it was produced by Martyn Howes and Baylis. perhaps they could tell you where they got the plans from.
Jim.

Yes , A thought . As an aside I see that MH&B have now discontinued the only boat kit in their range, the Henry dingy. Seems they only now do steam plants and accessories.
