I am painting the hull of my Bustler tug and have got the red on the underside (Halfords Peugeot Cherry Red specifically), on top of a couple of coats of Halfords red primer. The uppers (once the reds cured) will be done with Halfords satin black. Am I right in thinking its a good idea to go over the lot with Halfords Lacquer once its all gone off? Are there any pitfalls to watch out for? I have done some homework on here already but the various issues people have had are unique to their own situations (different paints etc).
cheers!
Matt

if it is all Halfords you should have no problems. Your satin will not be satin after the lacquer has been applied. But like every thing else give it a "trydo"nemesis

You should have no problems, I have used Halfords laquer and has given a perfect finish everytime.
Give the hull a light rub with some scotchbrite and go over with a tack cloth, remember to do several light coats rather than one heavy coat.
