Title: HMS Victory paints
Post by: tobyker on November 14, 2017, 11:47:55 am
At the last restoration, HMS Victory was repainted in "HMS Victory Hull Ochre" which is pinker than the previous yellow Ochre. Also the masts were repainted paler than the old colour. Does anyone know of a commercially produced (pref acrylic) model paint which matches the new hull and mast colours?  I would pop down for a look but I live 500 miles from Portsmouth, and you can't trust colours on a screen. We are completing a Victory kit after the purchaser died.

Here we go...Revell 36135 Flesh for the new light bands, Revell 36109 Anthracite for the 'black.
Humbrol 71 Oak for the masts and Humbrol 132 Satin Red for the cannon ports. Not sure if the Humbrol colours are available in their acrylic range though?

Thank you very much. Will pass this on to our painter!
