Title: New Sailman needs help with rigging
Post by: Tom Eccles on September 06, 2007, 10:46:42 pm
Can anyone help please.

I recently bought a S/Hand yacht to try out the "dark" side and I would welcome information on rigging the little beauty.

She is approx 18ins (or 500mm in new money) O.A.L. and has a drum type sail winch and there is a small pulley at the stern next to a tube through which runs a cord (sheet?) to operate the sails.
I assume this is a closed circuit system and I would be grateful for any help in rigging her.

Please, Please remember I am NOT a sailor so have no knowledge of technical terms so (again) please remember K.I.S.S. - in this instance be assured that the "Stupid" refers to me!

Thanks in anticipation

Clegg
