Hello
quick question . On an engle sub when screwing down the lid should the ballast tanks be in surface or dive position. Note there is an engle static depth controller in the sub.
Thanks
john

Surface, if I remember correctly. You will be pressurizing the box. Doing it in a submerged will create a vacuum (any leaks will suck water in).

The cheaper kit is a smaller scale, moulded in ABS, with a radial bayonet seal and a single piston tank.
The more expensive kit is moulded GRP , with twin tanks and a flat hatch seal. It's an earlier designed kit. The twin tanks will allow it it to submerge and surface on a level keel.
