Old radio near mint. Does it have any value today?
It came with a Tamiya tank but I've upgraded. Is there a place for this besides the bin.
It also has nicad battery external charger point and charger.

Nothing wrong with using 40MHz sets, they are still perfectly good and will do the same job as any fancy 2.4GHz set. Just make sure that the batteries are still OK and hold their charge. Still one of the few choices for those building submersibles.

Thank you Jim :-))
Would you hazard a guess to what it’s worth? Still has protective film on and instruction book too

These are great sets, I have some friends who are after these for their submarines.

I'm thinking £50 mark. TX, RX, battery, battery charger and instructions. I see a pair of crystals can be had for under £4
Thanx Rich. I'll see if Kirklees want it first.

The Hitec sets were about the only ones you could perform an engine shutdown on a Tamiya tank, using the trainer switch. Most other FM sets you needed to turn the set off.
Crystals are an issue as they are no longer available, but if the set has a pair with it, no problem. As previously said, good for subs and fifty quid seems a fair price.
