Title: Cornwall Model Boats.... heads up

I've just sent off an email to CMB to clarify pricing on their site. I noticed that the parts I was after all listed that vat was included in the price shown. However on going to the checkout page the price per item was shown as per the item page ie, the part was £5 including vat. But then lower down after postage was added, they then added on vat a second time!

I have cancelled the order until I get a reply from them regarding this anomaly. I have to say I have always had exemplary service from them and hope this is a blip in the system rather than a deliberate act.

Just tried a random dummy order from CMB and all looks in order. What items were you buying?

It's likely that checkout took VAT off the items purchased and re added to the net total after postage

  I concur.   How much was the item including vat, how much was the post and packing and how much was the bottom line total to pay.

Notice how the price per unit has increased over the advertised page unit cost - only 6p but still its increased, and then vat added on a second time. No removal and re- adding of it, just plain and simple being charged vat a second time.

Brian, I concur with your result.
Oddly though it seems that this double VAT charge is only affecting this size brass sheet.
All others I tried with a dummy purchase worked out correctly.

I have received a reply from Cornwall Model Boats this morning, as ever very prompt service! No idea why this anomaly happened, but it is cleared up and normal service resumed.

Suffice to say I have already completed my order :-))

After sales is atrocious that from the person been mentioned on here  quite rude on the phone guest after they take couple grand of you they dont care
