I'm probably way behind the field here but I've just discovered Incra Rules. 


If like me you have a bit of a problem seeing exactly 4mm on a steel rule this tool solves the problem.  It has holes in it that utilise a 0.5mm propelled pencil to mark through and its so easy to use.  It even has 0.25mm increments between each millimetre should you need that too. 


They also make protractors and Tee rules but they are not cheap.  A 150mm rule is £19.00 but for accuracy I think its quite a good investment.  Anyway i thought that I would share with my fellow mayhemers  :-)

Brilliant idea, is there a link to order from?

Going on from this here is one of my little tips seldom shared!

A metal rule with indentations for the measurement marks instead of being just printed on. For marking your material, run a scalpel blade down the indent mark to the material surface rather than using a pencil or pen - much more accurate. :-))

Whats funny here is its made in the USA! they dont normally use metric! All our equipment comes in foreign according to the youngsters in the firm, who they have to spend time learning the imperial system
