Title: Mixer units
Post by: Brian60 on April 27, 2018, 02:08:17 pm
Do they make them for brushless motor esc combinations? Would a standard brushed mixer work with a brushless motor esc set up?

Hi, in simple terms Yes. The normal brushed mixer usually works on the signal between the receiver and the speed controller so it doesn't care whether you are running brushed or a brushless setup. Just make sure you are using reversible controllers  O0 . Hope that is helpful.

Thanks for that Chris, I now have the option of using a Action mixer that has sat in my spares drawer for 2 years :)

If the ESCs act like "normal" ones, with forward - off - reverse and no messing about to get reverse, the mixer should cope well.  If the ESCs need a dab of "brake" to get reverse, little chance.  I haven't thought about forward only types.
