Hi,

Its been a long time since i raced yachts, but I have been struggling to get my winch line tensioned enough to stop slack occurring, i've been on numerous websites and tried most but still slack. does anyone have any good photos of their set ups please.

Many thanks,

Rich

Hello Rich,

This is the setup I have been using on my Schooner, Bluenose, for many years.
Never gives any problems, easy to make.
More photos on my website,      www.john-dowd.co.uk

I use the "open loop" geometry. Never had tension issues. I use a silicone elastic which I replace about once a year.
