Your photographs are certainly interesting ojays, however I have never seen two spare sets of propeller blades for a Variable Pitch Propeller stored in such a manner  {-) or place %)

Hi Derek,
The Queen Mary 2 has spare propeller blades stored on her fo’csle just like this.

Never having seen the QM2 itself....I checked Google ....it appears the "The spare blades are referred to as "the commodore's cufflinks."   {-)

The Coast Guard continuously circled our ship until we were well out of the harbour area.
