Title: Lifeboat Enthusiasts Day at Knightcote MBC
Post by: Charlie on May 14, 2018, 09:59:16 pm
A few photos of the boats that caught my eye, for your enjoyment. I haven't been to this event before, so I cannot compare it to previous years, but I thought this was a good day out, and well worth making the 260 mile round trip for.

It was interesting to see Mike and David's lovely model of 'RNLB Sir William Hillary', as i have never seen one of these before. I remembered seeing a youtube clip of the original boat being launched back in 1929, a long time ago. So i just had a search, and sure enough i found it.

Edit: This one just popped up onto my screen! This must have been the naming ceremony.
