Title: Looking for a suitable Pond or lake near me - Tamworth, Staffs.
Post by: Jellyfloat on June 04, 2018, 12:04:13 pm
Hello all, this is my first post so bear with me.
I live in Tamworth, Staffs. I have a Surmount yacht and a couple of electric boats.
I like shallow pools that I can walk right round with continuous access to the water. This is because I lost a boat in my youth and never recovered from the upset!
Bournville and Wicksteed park are ideal waters but a wee bit too far away to be ideal.
Do you know of anywhere near Tamworth that fits the bill?
Thanks, Steve Jeffcoat

Sorry I don't know about lakes but I do know about buoyancy Fix some buoyancy into your models so that they float even if swamped. Beware it will try very hard to make an escape.

Enjoy your sailing.

Bosworth Water park has a boating pond that you can walk around the whole lake

Kingsbury Water Park Model Boat Club

5 miles from Tamworth?
Think they do all aspects of model boating.
Very limiting if you want to wade out.
Most clubs have rescue boats.
