Post by: leechr on June 14, 2018, 07:30:45 PM
Can anyone advise on how the brushes are fitted on the 6v decaperm, mine was pulled apart and I cannot work out how all the brushes/springs/holders are fitted. Regards Richard

if it was pulled apart by someone else you may have lost the little ROLL pins that go through the case and into the brush carrier. You need these for reassembling the motor. Yes, I suppose you can bodge some thing to do the job. It is easy to do, the spring goes round the pin and locates on the brush, you have to hold them apart to get them on the commie, on inserting the armature into the case, hold the brush end Tight or the magnets will pull it out of your hand. Give it a go as you cannot do any lasting damage. nemesis
