Title: 1/24 Fairmile D
Post by: ex docky on June 28, 2018, 05:20:15 pm
Hi,
I have a Kingston Mouldings 1/24 Fairmile D
Running gear at present is x4graupner 600's driving 35mm 3 bladed props 9.6v. - current draw is very high!
I would like some advice which type of brushless motors/speed controllers and lipo's that will give a good performance driving the original props.
Thanks
Ex docky

 :-)) quicker to find than I thought. first, all throttles commoned up so all 4 respond to trans signal at same time.
only drawback using this set up is no reverse.
speed cont= 4x overlander  xp2 60a  sbec esc-rtf
motor = 4x  tornado thumper v3 3548/05  900kv.
battery= 2x turnigy 25-35 discharge 2200 mAh li-po  giving 11.1v.
also two low volt alarms on batts.
this gives about twenty mins running time.used to run her on 4x 777 motors on twelve volts,had to take 5 batts for a sail.
contact if you need more info?
