Post by: The Old Fart on July 02, 2018, 07:18:08 am
Hi Guys,

I'm in need of a bit of guidance please.

Aldeburgh life boat the James Cable Rother class 1st launched June 8th 1982

How is the rudder connected to a servo ?

Part built boat came without building instructions.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
Back in 2012, tt1 did an excellent build thread of the Metcalf Rother kit, which included lots of detailed photos. I have posted a few of them here (which i hope tt1 won't mind), together with a link to the original thread.

Hope this helps. It's actually given me some ideas on how to setup my own rudder linkage.

I'm fitting out all the electrics for a club member.

Rudder servo was the initial head scratching session. Expect will need to make a 3D print holder for this servo.

While your at it on the 3D Printer then, any chance you can knock up a 1:15 version of the Whitemetal Mounting Bracket? :}
