Title: JETI speed controllers

Does anyone have any experience with JETI speed controllers?
Any good?
I'm running Graupner 700s on 12 cells, what would the best controller be?

I had one, it internally shorted, overheated and burnt out.
I had it repaired and same thing happened again, so binned it.

Often used them and never had any problems whatsoever even after a good 'dunking'. Dried it out and off we go again! Which one are you talking/thinking about? There are a range of models from their simple 18Amp to the Jeti Navy waterproofed sealed units for 12 - 20 cells. (the latter may not be available now except via good old Fleabay)

Used to run my twelve cell with much the same motor used a Jeti 50 with no problems only problem was with the skipper he couldn't handle all that speed OK on the lake when on my own but in real trouble if with other boats ::)

I've seen the Navy 600 (I think that's what it is) at around £65 new. Much dearer than they are in the Czech Republic where they're made.

The Jeti JES Navy 600 is the fully waterproofed and water cooled variety, a bit scarce now and costs around £65 but providing you don't try and push too much power through it, it'll last you a lifetime.......but then I guess that depends on how old you are now of course! Mine is about 8 years old and still going strong. (50 amps continuous but if you 'overstress' it the ESC will cut out rather than blow up!)

Yep.. The Jeti JES 600 navy is the one to go for. Hobbystores do it for around £58 mail order. Continious current is 60 Amps, and you can run it on as little as 8 cells up to a max of 30 cells, no BEC but is temperature protected (PCO, power cut off system) If that isn't powerfull enough go for the JES 150, you will need to force air cool it though, and it will handle 140 Amps continious. Mind you it cost around £120 new, again 8- 30 cells.

If you don't need reverse (eg fast electric types)  the aircraft ones work well. For several seasons I have been using a Jeti JES350 (35A rating) in a fast electric powered by a Graupner Speed 700 BB Turbo 9.6V and running on 10 cells.
