Title: Midget submarine memorial
Post by: Arrow5 on August 12, 2018, 11:10:33 am
A well maintained tribute to the brave crews of the X-craft and Chariots who trained in this area of Bute on the west coast of Scotland.   I found this by accident on a visit to Port Bannatyne on the Isle of Bute .

its a lovely memorial...…...seen it many times...…..but what always amazes me is just how well the public toilets next to the memorial are kept...…….just as wonderfully so as the memorial itself...…….

one time we visited there was even a small radio sat on the window sill in the gents, amongst the ornaments playing classic FM, as though it was just a normal rest room in any nice hotel...…

truly remarkable...…….couldn't see that lasting long in uptown Blackpool,  {-) {-)
