Title: planet5 stick from sprung back to ratchet conversion

is it possible to change the right stick on planet 5Tx   form sprung central to ratchet fore and aft if so how

Yes it is.Planet used to make a small part with spring,that could with difficulty replace the part in the back of the radio.You may find these still around in some shops as they were never very popular it seems.I did the conversion on my radio,and it works fine.

AH sorry!
 Im not sure but if you just go into the back and remove the spring,it should revert back to normal ratchet? Im almost sure it was only the spring that had to be inserted .Worth a try,but if it doesn't work you can always hook the tiny spring up again.

There is a thin strip that goes across the top of the stick unit which has to be removed to fit the spring arm and spring.
I am not very good at explaining things so I will take some pictures and post them tonight.

This link shows how to fit the spring and arm so maybe reverse procedure to revert to ratchet?

JaymacWell I will try again.
You remove the spring and its arm.
Here is one I broke earlier. As you can see in the pictures you need a strip of metal and a screw.
If you want the ones off my broken stick I can post them to you.

I have the opposite issue for my recently purchased Saturn set in wanting to convert the throttle from ratchet to spring. It appears that the necessary conversion kit won't be available until early September though. One option might be to transfer the spring from an unused channel to the throttle but we will see.

Correct Ned  I want the self centre  action removed and  ratchet  motion  instead, Skimmer  I'll have a look inside and see if it is  practical for my
  limited finger  movement  thanks for the offer of the bits will come back on that
