Title: paint stripper on styrene
Post by: tobyker on September 14, 2018, 04:50:25 pm
Just thought I'd pass this on - I've ben given an old styrene hull (HFM deep sea trawler) which has I suspect had a number of owners, each of whom has enthusiastically repainted it in colours of their choice. Faced with getting all the layers off I gave the whole hull a light sanding, which was very slow going. So I experimented with Screwfix own brand "No Nonsense" paint stripper which seems to be doing the job quite effectively without having any effect on the styrene.
