Title: My Seaport conversion
Post by: mark w on October 17, 2018, 07:12:43 am
Alrighty then,

Thought I'd post my conversion of the Seaport tug; I used a no name 12V motor, 12V 1.2 amp gel sell battery, ebay esc, new rudder servo, removed the kort nozzle, made a standard rudder from polycarbonate sheet. After removing the bulwarks, I added a polycarbonate sub deck, then planked a wood over it. The stock bulwark was then reinstalled (no screws). The pilothouse was a vacuform item a friend had. All of the fittings/details came from the parts box. Rattle can paints were used throughout. Scale is 1/24th. Model runs well with the stock prop. Any comments/threats/ critisiitzum is welcome.
