Title: Is there another another name for this part......

.....apart from an organ sleeve? I can't find any for sale in the UK,only China,Hong Kong or RC Planet in Utah have them.I don't have to have it straight away, but it'd mean one less job to worry about having to put off for a couple of weeks.

It's a pushrod bellows. Cornwall model boats sell them

These ones have a habit of splitting very quickly, especially in the application I use them for (nitromethane being acidic), though they'd probably be better in an electric boat. The best rubber bellows I've come across are the large rubber ones with the ally insert from robbe but I don't think they're available any more. I've just bought a few of the large ones from Prestwich to try but haven't stuck any on the water yet.

A much tidier version, and one that has promise to last a good while is the seals from Engel, which I do want to try. Shall probably make some of them myself and I suspect you could too Neil. They're essentially a threaded bar with an end cap that retains an o ring that you apply grease to.

they look very nice and neat, Andy...…..would suite the Shannon's stern as well...…...think I'll order some of those.....typical that the 2mm are a euro dearer than the 3mm though......just my luck.

thanks for the link..

I found the only bellows to be a suitably small size are the ones by Joysway for the dragon force yachts .
I wasted much money on ones that turned out to be too big

No I'm not a member of Crawley MBC.I've been past that pub in Shoreham hundreds of times and never knew there was a lake behind it,won't be going on Sunday but must take a look at some time.

It goes over the joystick adjuster thingie on manual car door mirror adjusters. It's more flexible and has more travel in each direction than these that also arrived today........

Not sure whether to use it or not as it needs to fit through a thin (about 1mm) surface when my transom is 6mm.
