Title: Inga IV plan wanted
Post by: Morris75 on January 13, 2019, 10:49:54 am
Greetings from a new member. Now my Bruma is finished and sailing well, I would like to make Inga IV my next project. I haven't been able to find a published plan, does anyone know if they are available? Alternetively, if anyone has a set of plans, would they consider having them copied and posted to me,happy to pay all costs.
Regards to all shipmates, Alan

Hello Alan most Ingas are made from a fibre glass hull.  Kingston Mouldings although having closed up shop might have a spare hull and possibly plans.

Hi Alan, Orion mouldings do a similar fiberglass hull.

Models by Design now produce the range of mouldings previously offered by Kingston mouldings. Inga is a lovely model, I built one years ago from the kit

Yes the Inga is listed at 1/16th scale 43" hull, on the models by design site, don,t know if
a plan comes with it.

Thanks to all for your help. I have decided to give up on this boat, I prefer models wholly in wood, searching for suitable plan.
Thanks again.Alan

Hello Alan, so do you have your eye on a plan?  Let us know what you are thinking.

Sometimes the biggest problem is the lead keel, most modellers realise it is a bit dodgy casting your own unless you know what you are doing.  But ready made hulls do mean that you can pour in the lead shot etc.  If you need a bulb keel there are just a few made for other yachts that can be bought separately.
