Title: Planking a Hull
Post by: Rodgearing on February 05, 2019, 08:02:40 pm

I am scratch building an ANTEO tug that is all I have is  the plans.
I have laid the keel got all the frames in an now starting planking.
Do I need any special technique or can I just get on with it
I think I am asking for help/advice in not only shaping but fitting with, pins? glue? or both.
Fred

If the keel is held firm and straight and the bulkheads all squared up I started with a plank either side along the deck line either permanent or temporary to keep everything rigid. So many things to think about but to avoid distortion work one plank at a time port and starboard.
Member MarkT is very accomplished  :-))

I used aliphatic resin and lots of pins
