I have picked up an Atlas drum servo that had black lead rot. have put a new lead on it from the pub board. unfortunately, when plugged in it just judders. any ideas?? ps have used a servo tester for this, not a tx.

In 2009 ...it suggests that....* The Whirlwind winches have been discontinued.

Mine needed 6v to operate satisfactorily in my Marble head.

I always use 6v when operating a rx with no esc. Unlike the whirlwinfd that takes a 6v battery direct to the servo, the atlas takes its feed from the RX. I never feel a 4.8v receiver pack is enough voltage.
