Title: Suitable Speed Controller
Post by: kiwi96 on April 12, 2019, 09:24:55 pm
I have fitted 4x DC 775 motors into my Richelieu.
I need help on a suitable speed controller for this size motor.
Amy help much appreciated.
Cheers.

Hopefully, the advertiser, further down the page, will have supplied some stats for the motor which will give some clues.
Otherwise, test under load to see what the current draw is.  Either an ammeter or a selecton of auto fuses.
Knowing the size and weight of the boat and the prop size and configuration will help with guesses.

I'd replace 'boat size' with 'system voltage', also AFAIK it's 1/96 scale.

EDIT:  dug out my Vittorio Veneto plans for some guesstimating... assuming the propellers are between 50-60mm then I would run it off 6-7.2v and pretty much any 10-15 amp ESC with reverse will do ya fine.
